As many of you are aware the Oregon specific certification for Fire Ground Leader is soon to sunset. With this change MWFIA is in the process of redefining our course offerings. We are looking at Fire Officer I as a possibility. Currently we are partnering with Salem Fire Department to offer a number of courses that meet the requirements of Fire Officer I. This has proven a successful venture for all involved.  We are also working on bringing other offerings to the Valley in the future. This could include Hybrid Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I and II, as well as courses in the Wildland areas.
